DESCRIPTION:The first iteration of this improv comedy night at the Junction was sold out and well liked\, so Tall Tales Productions and The Junction are coming back with a second. As before\, it’s a show created on the fly from audience suggestions; it’s inspired by the TV show Whose Line is it Anyway – “but we had to give it our own twist … with newer games\, more locally relevant themes\, and a cultural mixture promising to entertain you ‘pro-max!'” It’s in English\, but we’re promised locally-based talent from eight different nationalities (though as far we could make out\, the team for this show is Asad Raza Khan\, Basel Yafi\, Maria D’Cost Tarek El Saad and Salman Qureshi … all of whom are good).

It’s a kind of open mic for any kind of performance: you can pitch for a slot for whatever it is you want to do (anything goes\, apparently) – book here – but spontaneous performances are also welcome on the day (“we will have open floor time built in\, and try and get as many performances in as we can”). And you can also attend as an opinionated audience member; performance is not mandatory … \nRegistration is required\, either way. Presentation slots are limited and will be on a first-come first-served basis “to ensure a variety of disciplines and mediums are showcased — so the more specific you are about what you’re bringing\, the better”.
