DESCRIPTION:Sara Masinaei’s solo show explores how urban spaces shape memory\, movement and lived experience: “through walking\, collecting found objects and recording traces of overlooked surfaces\, she treats the city’s ground as an active part of how we experience and navigate our surroundings”\, says the gallery. Her works include monoprints created by pressing canvas directly on to urban surfaces\, plus sculptural pieces that explore the tension between order and disruption. \nThis work results from Dom Arts’ Studio Support Programme\, introduced to gave artists space and time to develop their practices without requiring them to produce new work or meet predetermined outcomes.

DESCRIPTION:An exhibition by seven emerging UAE-based artists\, beneficiaries of Dom Arts’ Studio Support Programme (introduced to gave artists space and time to develop their practices without requiring them to produce new work or meet predetermined outcomes). \nThe programme gave each artist space and time to explore their practice without the pressure to produce a specific outcome\, allowing for experimentation\, uncertainty\, mistakes and new directions. The show has works by Joumana Mortada\, Meher Afroz Vahid\, Rabila Kidwai\, Aisha Alhammadi (work in progress\, right)\, Divyaaunshi Purohit and Teng Miras. Rather than presenting only finished works\, the exhibition offers a glimpse into the creative process by including experiments\, works in progress\, research and completed pieces developed during their time in the studios.
