{"id":65678,"date":"2025-12-10T14:24:27","date_gmt":"2025-12-10T10:24:27","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/magpie.ae\/staging4\/event\/focal-point-2023-4\/"},"modified":"2025-12-10T14:24:27","modified_gmt":"2025-12-10T10:24:27","slug":"focal-point-2023-4","status":"publish","type":"tribe_events","link":"https:\/\/magpie.ae\/staging4\/event\/focal-point-2023-4\/","title":{"rendered":"Focal Point 2023"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The sixth edition of Sharjah Art Foundation\u2019s Focal Point art book fair \u2013 the region\u2019s only art book fair, we think \u2013 features local and international publishers with book launches, talks, workshops and musical performances during its run (24 to 26 November at Bait Obaid Al Shamsi).<\/p>\n<p>Featuring artists\u2019 presses, bookmakers, self-publishers and non-commercial cultural producers, this year\u2019s edition encourages the community to engage with independent publishing and the central role of books as tools for social mobilisation and the development of a free and just world.\u00a0 As well as the works on show, all available for purchase; the fair also has talks, book launches, artists\u2019 signings, workshops, music and artist-made products.
