What does a woman carry, literally and metaphorically? Is it the weight of expectations, the symbols of tradition, or the aspirations she dares to chase?<\/p>\n
This evolving art installation, conceptualised by author Purva Grover and art curator Bhairavi Mistry in celebration of International Women’s Day, foregrounds such questions; visitors are invited to contribute objects that symbolise the expectations society places on women \u2013 “heels, lipstick, a baby bottle, a pan, a measuring tape, a laptop case, post-its, a laundry basket, an apron, a vacuum cleaner attachment, a planner, dumbbells, sewing kit, a stack of fashion magazines, engagement ring box, yoga mat, makeup wipes, certificates, cleaning gloves, and more” …<\/p>\n
Running alongside is SHE CANVAS, a more conventional exhibition of 22 artworks curated by Mistry. Featured artists:<\/p>\n
