The blend of old-fashioned, classic storytelling with cutting-edge technology is undeniably enthralling. A work of almost staggering iconographic, mythological, creative and simple emotional meaning, this is one vintage film that fully lives up to its classic status&#8221;. The sets might look a tad clunky to the modern eye, but it&#8217;s easy to suspend rationality in the company of such warm, affectionate storytelling with clever undercurrents of psychology and philosophy. Great performances, too.
