We\u2019re always happy to promote local talent, and this series of playlets is written by three Dubai-based playwrights (Dee Gee, Edwige Narbey, Alex Broun) Dee Gee directs; they are set in Dubai on New Year\u2019s fireworks time, and the show features cast and crew drawn from 11 different nationalities \u2013 which is about as Dubai as you could get. The sins aren\u2019t explicitly deadly, but we are getting a modern take on them \u2013 with the emphasis on social media. The underlying idea is that vices like these can evolve with time; \u201cas an audience, we will experience the sins in today\u2019s world and how our daily lives invite us to sin, perhaps not always in our control \u2026\u201d Should be a good evening (and there are two more to follow, on 7 and 8 September).<\/p>\n
