Tamer and his friends lead typical high school students’ lives until the arrival of the beautiful Maysaa. \u00a0As he grows closer to her, Tamer agrees to take part in a mysterious flag operation dubbed \u2018Alam’ on the eve of Israel’s Independence Day \u2013 which is of course a day of mourning for Palestinians.<\/p>\n
This screens in 421’s four-day Palestinian Cinema Days, a programme presented in collaboration with Reel Palestine and Cinema Akil that champions independent and alternative cinema for the stories, heritage, and identity of the Palestinian people.<\/p>\n
Screenings take place in 421\u2019s outdoor plaza from 7pm on; films include subtitles in English and Arabic where applicable.<\/p>\n
All proceeds go to Emirates Red Crescent\u2019s Tarahum \u2013 for Gaza campaign. Admission is free with preregistration via the website and a receipt for a donation via Emirates Red Crescent\u2019s payment link <\/a>(the recommended donation is AED 50).<\/p>\n In-kind donations can also be dropped off at 421 throughout the film days from 10am to 9pm.
