He\u2019s\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.knma.org\/press\/press-releases\/manuel-rabate-as-its-chief-executive-officer-and-director\/%20%C2%A0\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>moving to New Delhi\u00a0<\/strong><\/a>to become CEO of India\u2019s leading private art museum, the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.knma.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>Kiran Nadar Museum of Art<\/strong><\/a>. KNMA is preparing to expand significantly its footprint and scope, moving to a new 100,000m<sup>2<\/sup>\u00a0complex designed by David Adjaye Associates that will have several exhibition, performance and theatre spaces, a library, an archive and an education centre. Rabat\u00e9 was instrumental in the development of the Louvre AD as head of Agence France-Mus\u00e9ums, a consultancy set up specifically for the purpose; apart from the &#8216;world museum&#8217; philosophy, his long-term legacy may well be the development of curatorial and art conservation teams, both thin on the ground when he arrived.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Rabat\u00e9 said KNMA is not only shaping the story of Indian and South Asian art today \u201cbut is also defining what a 21st-century museum can be\u201d, which was kinda the remit of Louvre AD too &#8230; He leaves the Louvre in rude health, with last year\u2019s record 1.4m visitors including 84% from overseas (which meets DCT\u2019s requirement for positioning the emirate as a hub for cultural tourism).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Rabat\u00e9 will officially step down from the Louvre Abu Dhabi on 7 March, apparently with everyone\u2019s best wishes \u2013 the museum extends its gratitude to Manuel Rabat\u00e9 for his extraordinary contribution and wishes him every success in his new role&#8221;. RTA has done a deal with Musk\u2019s Boring Company, which is doing a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.boringcompany.com\/vegas-loop\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>similar network in Las Vegas<\/strong><\/a>. Construction is due to start later this year with a 6.4km pilot route that has four stations between DIFC and Dubai Mall; that should be ready in a year. The full project will be 22km and link the financial district with Business Bay.
