Second (of three) performances for this Arabic version of Duncan Macmillan\u2019s powerful, poignant play \u2013 an hour of life and humour about mental health, adapted and directed by the acclaimed Egyptian theatre-maker Ahmed El Attar. As her mother battles chronic depression, the child creates a list of every thing they can think of that makes life worth living; as the child grows, so does the list.<\/p>\n
The play features Syrian actress Nanda Mohammad, alone on an empty stage with only a minimal set, accessories, and music. She has the challenging task of balancing the storyline with the energies of the audience, who are invited to participate and even improvise during the show.<\/p>\n
The play is performed in Arabic with simultaneous English translation.
