Laughter Factory: ‘Extermination Boredom!’ Tour

The Laughter Factory says it is flying in “three of the best live stand-up comedians that are currently touring the world”, though since one of them already lives here presumably that’s humorous hyperbole. On the bill are American-Egyptian Maria Shehata, making her debut in Dubai and trailing a CV that includes Comedy Central shows and some writing credits (“she is quite comfortable performing in a 15,000 seater venue so it will be lovely to see her up close and personal in an intimate room”); Dimitri Bakinov, another Dubai newbie and given to black humour (“darker than a trip down an abandoned coal mine, with a broken torch”); and Abz Ali, “the funniest Emirati you will ever come across”.

The tour moves on to the Movenpick JBR for 8th and 9th March.
