A “gripping” Hindi adaptation of Reginald Rose’s classic courtroom drama film 12 Angry Men, reimagined for contemporary India. Twelve jurors have to decide the fate of a young man accused of a brutal crime: inside the jury room, personal biases, social divides, prejudice, ego, and conscience collide as one juror dares to question the verdict everyone else seems ready to deliver … Adapted and directed by Gautam Goenka, and clearly something of a passion project for the Junction’s main man, Baarah promises “an intense, thought-provoking theatrical experience that explores justice, morality, and the power of standing alone for what you believe in”.
