Boom.Diwan with Nduduzo Makhathini, Liany Mateo, and Elé Howell

An evening of new music from Boom.Diwan’s forthcoming album, which is being recorded this week. The style is their characteristic merging of Kuwaiti maritime and desert traditions with the improvisational energy of jazz. Joining the ensemble are some distinguished collaborators, all of whom have played with Boom-Diwan before in concert or on record – South African pianist and Blue Note artist Nduduzo Makhathini, bassist Liany Mateo, and drummer Elé Howell.
