Revoir Paris: dir Alice Wincoer (2022)

Wincoer’s gently searing drama is loosely based on the Bataclan concert hall attack in Paris in 2015 (her brother was a survivor). Virginie Efira is excellent as Mia, a woman struggling with the trauma of having survived a brutal assault on a restaurant in the centre of town that left behind dozens of victims; as the title implies, the film is about memory – remembering Paris as it was, remembering life as it was. The acting is good, the photography a paeon to the city. Recommended.
