Grey Noise is in a run of strong shows right now, and this one keeps up the standard.
Fahd Burki uses a characteristic vocabulary of symbols, forms and shapes, but the new work does mark a distinct shift in his practice towards greater abstraction. You can see the current work simply as clean, elegant graphics, a contrast to some of the dramatic and more active works of his past ; but the repetition and symmetry of lines, geometric forms, grids and blank intervals also work to hint at a sense of transience and permeability.
