Some might say the best thing about both Jurassic Park and Raiders of the Lost Ark is the music on the soundtrack. Whether or not you think either film has worn particularly well, there’s no denying the quality of the scores John Williams wrote for both – which will be delivered with extra oomph at Dubai Opera via a full live performance next April, with the 21st Century Symphony Orchestra accompanying screenings of the movies.
Dubai Opera’s Chief Executive, Jasper Hope, is a fan: “If you haven’t seen a Hollywood Blockbuster accompanied by a full live symphony orchestra then you’ve truly never experienced the incredible power of music to bring films to life.
“The 21st Century Symphony Orchestra is now widely acknowledged as one of the best in the world at delivering spine-tingling experiences of this kind – do not miss the chance to see and hear them in action.”
Raiders of the lost Ark In Concert is on 19 April; Jurassic Park in Concert plays on 20 April. Tickets are available now from www.dubaiopera.com – prices from AED 150, which sounds a bargain – and here’s a taster of the show performed at the Royal Albert Hall in March 2016.
