Yana Rusnak: Revival Art

The Dubai-based art consultant Skaya Art Agency is showing a range of the Ukrainian artist’s acrylics on canvas and aluminium at Oblong Contemporary. Rusnak’s imagery is allegorical, suggesting how human emotions and character are intertwined with the animal world; her figures are composed of multifaceted triangles that capture themes of magic, occultism, and creativity – the number three represents symmetry, wisdom and understanding. Says the agency: “By fusing figurative and abstract elements Yana’s artwork utilises the best traditions of contemporary art and attempts to create a ‘dialogue with the universe’ …”
