Matilda The Musical

The RSC’s multi-award winner – based on the Roald Dahl story, original music and songs by the incomparable Tim Minchin, book by Dennis Kelly, directed by Matthew Warchus – settles into Dubai Opera for a long run. The New York Post was spot on with its review: “once in a blue moon, a show comes out blazing and restores your faith in Broadway … Matilda the Musical is that show” (it’s been running for 12 years in London’s West End, but it is very definitely a Broadway kind of show with fabulous lighting and effects, wide-screen performances, and the ability to delight audiences of all ages. There are performances each day between 3 and 12 October except for 9 October. Shows are at 8pm each evening, with 2pm matinees on 7 and 8 October as well.
