DIFC’s open-air Sculpture Park returns for a second edition. Many galleries are showing work, among them several who aren’t located in DIFC – like Firetti Contemporary, Leila Heller Gallery, and Oblong Gallery – and some of those who are (Opera Gallery, Belvedere Art Space: not all the DIFC galleries have 3D work suitable for al fresco display, of course). A number of independent artists will also be showing.
In total there are more than 70 pieces on show, among them Natalie Clark’s Spirit of Habtoor and Anthony Clark’s Love Dubai; two pieces by Anthony James, 60” Icosahedron (Silver Birch Grey) and 50” Triacontahedron (Solar Black); Lorenzo Quinn’s Together; and Azza Al Qubaisi’s Between the Dunes. There will be a good deal of digital work, mostly projected. And Jeff Koons’ hand painted BMW Art Car, THE 8 X JEFF KOONS, will also be on display for a limited time.
