Day two of the multi faceted mini festival that’s taking over the Manarat from 17 to 19 October. The organisers promise “a global array of creative arts through a host of activities for you and your friends to discover and enjoy … Explore spirited experiences that fuse storied traditions with contemporary expression”.

Mous Lamrabat: East to East Exhibition for the Morocco-born and Belgium-raised photographer who merges his Maghreb heritage with western cues to creates images rich in wit and colour in unexpected combinations.
Marta Lamovsek: Iconbooth “The only installation in the world that captures the dynamic reverence for culture through portraits, while printing them in real-time”. It’s a photobooth for highly stylised portraits, a style that Marta Lamovsek has made her own.
Labour of Love: new approaches to Palestinian embroidery A VR installation in partnership with the Palestine Museum, this presentation-cum-exhibition explores traditional Palestinian embroidery through the lenses of gender, labour, commodity, and class, tracing its passage from a personal practice, to a symbol of national heritage, to a product in the global marketplace.
The Confused Arab: Taxiphone Through interactive artistic installations, The Confused Arab tackles key themes of the modern Arab identities: migration, inequalities, individuality and nostalgia. This installation celebrates a social place that was a key access to the world. “In diaspora, in native moving societies, you are building new futures. Let’s write together the future of nostalgia.”
