Cultural Foundation names recipients of Performing Arts Production Programme

Abu Dhabi’s Cultural Foundation has named the 16 recipients of its first Performing Arts Production Programme. The artists, who were selected from a regional open call that ran earlier this year, will get funding to produce a piece of performance work; some or all of them will also be featured in the Cultural Foundation’s seasonal programme.

Reem Fadda, Cultural Foundation director, said the Performing Arts Production Programme aims to provide artists with resources to enable them to develop their concepts – “it is essential during these difficult times to provide support, incubate new ideas and encourage creative endeavours.

“Through this programme, we aim to embody our vision of not only showcasing art, but also investing in creating it, thus facilitating, enhancing and growing Abu Dhabi’s artistic and cultural ecosystem.”
