Having given up hope of ever seeing her again\, he is about to move back to France when Lily hops in his cab … This is a melodrama both tender and potent\, told with an endearing humanity … \nIn French with English subtitles. The film screens in Alliance Française’s Cine Apero programme\, meaning the ticket price incudes a drink and a snack. Eventually only one remains\, to be crowned the Maestro. “Fast-paced\, unpredictable\, and hilarious” says the promo\, and you couldn’t argue with that. DESCRIPTION:Tall Tales Production and The Junction is bringing us what it calls “a new concept of Improvisational Comedy Nights” – we’re not sure where the newness resides\, given that the setup is described as “a few hyperactive comedians trying to survive 90 minutes without a script\, a safety net\, or a delivery app … The entire show is created with suggestions from the audience on the spot” – which sounds like classic improv to us. Still\, it’s an excellent group of Dubai standups Asad Raza Khan\, Salman Qureshi\, Nour Kaddour\, Paul Jones and Court Ash-Dale. \n
