DESCRIPTION:Something of a coup for the Encore Presents series of recitals\, curated by Amira Fouad and presented with the Royal Grammar School Guildford Dubai: the stunning British piano virtuoso Benjamin Grosvenor has been accumulating accolades – from reviewers (“everything Grosvenor touches turns to gold”\, “a genius who has reached the height of his interpretive powers”) and in terms of awards: among others\, Grosvenor has been named Gramophone’s Young Artist of the Year\, won a Classical Brit Critics’ Award\, and has a Diapason d’Or Jeune Talent Award. He is internationally recognised for his electrifying performances\, his technical gifts\, a distinctive sound and what Süddeutsche Zeitung called “the unmistakable sense of poetic immersion directed solely at the realisation of music”.
