DESCRIPTION:Ayyam Gallery’s summer collective exhibition focuses on the colour orange: “occupying a unique space between intensity and comfort\, orange embodies both vitality and reflection. DESCRIPTION:Tom is ten and different from other children: changes unsettle him\, loud noises overwhelm him\, and he feels most at home in his world of outer space — often dressed in his astronaut suit. When his mother unexpectedly has to travel to China\, Tom and his siblings Nina and Elmar are sent to stay with their grandparents in the countryside for six weeks. To Tom\, this feels like a disaster; but to encourage him\, his mother gives him a logbook and suggests treating the stay as a trial Mars mission. With Nina as the radio operator and Elmar as First Officer\, the small crew sets out to explore the “planet” Lunau — and to understand grandparents who seem to live by rules entirely their own. \nIn German with English subtitles.
