SUMMARY:Noor Al Suwaidi: MatiSsage
DESCRIPTION:Known for her vibrant exploration of colour\, movement\, and abstraction\, Al Suwaidi’s art reflects the dynamic energy of cultural encounters\, music\, and landscapes. This short-run exhibition draws a parallel between her artistic philosophy and Henri Matisse’s; both artists translate emotion into visual rhythm\, using colour to convey harmony and transformation. \nTo 28 March.

SUMMARY:The Things She Carries
DESCRIPTION:What does a woman carry\, literally and metaphorically? Is it the weight of expectations\, the symbols of tradition\, or the aspirations she dares to chase? \nThis evolving art installation\, conceptualised by author Purva Grover and art curator Bhairavi Mistry in celebration of International Women’s Day\, foregrounds such questions; visitors are invited to contribute objects that symbolise the expectations society places on women – “heels\, lipstick\, a baby bottle\, a pan\, a measuring tape\, a laptop case\, post-its\, a laundry basket\, an apron\, a vacuum cleaner attachment\, a planner\, dumbbells\, sewing kit\, a stack of fashion magazines\, engagement ring box\, yoga mat\, makeup wipes\, certificates\, cleaning gloves\, and more” … \nRunning alongside is SHE CANVAS\, a more conventional exhibition of 22 artworks curated by Mistry. Featured artists: \nGhia Haddad (above)\nHanan Alwahedi\nReem Alfalasi\nDaria Avdeeva\nTetiana Kruchynina\nTanya Micallef\nYmke Hordijk Evans\nRia Shankar\nMeena Meher\nRaagaanshi Kukunuri\nAvigyan Bhattacharya\nKiran Kumar\nAndrew Thompson \nThe event also features Grover’s recently published SHE\, a non-fiction take on womanhood. \nTo 27 March
